Vegetables

We've selected our vegetables based on flavor and quality, not for how well they hold up during shipping to a supermarket a thousand miles away.

Our plantings include a wide variety of heirloom tomatoes of all colors and sizes, as well as some old standby favorites.  We will, of course, be again offering those tasty cherry tomatoes.  Don't worry, this year we're planting extras so we don't run out!  And we're adding a couple of new kinds.

Try our new potatoes!

We offer reds, whites, yukon gold, and even some blues!  For 2010 we're adding some varieties of fingerlings, and some all reds.  If you haven't tried blues yet, you are in for a treat.  They have an extremely fine flesh and sweet flavor, and the bright blue color is packed with all the goodness and health benefits that you hear about with blueberries other brightly colored produce.

We plan to have more of our Butter and Sugar Sweet Corn beginning in mid July and continuing throughout the rest of the summer.

We'll have hot peppers, sweet banana peppers, Italian style long horn frying peppers, and many colors of bell peppers.

The green beans will be back, accompanied by some yellow beans and Italian flat beans.

Summer squash offerings will include the staple varieties, some new shapes and sizes, and an heirloom Italian ribbed zucchini.  This year be offering more winter squash, and we'll try not to run out of butternut so soon!

We've expanded our garlic patch to include not only the local hardneck that we offered last year, but several other varieties.
