Apples
We
began the planning phase for our orchard by asking friends
and neighbors and anyone else who would humor us, "what is
your favorite kind of apple?" Not surprisingly, there
was a wide range of answers, and a lot of passion toward
their favorites. So we decided to plant them all.
We have over 25 varieties of apples, maybe enough diversity
to satisfy everyone! It seems like my favorite is
whichever one happens to be ripe at the moment. Be
sure to try a bunch- you never know when you'll find a new
favorite! Please note, our apples are not available as
pick-your-own at this time.

Peaches
There is nothing that
can beat the flavor of a fully tree ripened peach, still
warm from the sun. In keeping with our goal of
providing the very best, we selected peaches rated highest
for taste for our orchard. Staggered ripening dates
will allow us to offer them from July through August.
We're looking forward to a larger harvest this year, and
being able to better keep up with demand.
PLEASE do not SQUEEZE! We pick our
peaches ripe, not before. When squeezed they will
bruise.
Grapes
Our small vineyard
includes table grapes in an array of flavors and colors,
both seedless and with seeds. Wine grapes may be
reserved with a small deposit in advance, and purchase of
wine grapes includes use of our destemmer/crusher while here
at the farm.
Of note in our vineyard
is a grape that is very special to us. It was a gift
to Sam's grandfather Alfio from his barber, Santo Murabito,
from the same area in Sicily. The story we were told
is that it was brought Italy and planted on the Oswego
Bonacorsi farm. We've moved it from home to home with
us and started new vines from it until finally giving it a
permanent home here in our vineyard. It is a slipskin
white grape with a heavy fruit scent.

Cantaloupe
Our
cantaloupe is SWEET, SWEET, SWEET! Picked only when it
slips off the vine, and perfect to eat. Sniff the stem
end for a hint of the treat to come...
