We've selected
our vegetables based on flavor and quality, not for how well
they hold up during shipping to a supermarket
a thousand miles away.
Our plantings include a wide variety of
all colors and sizes, as well as some old heirloom
favorites. We will, of course, be again offering those
tasty cherry tomatoes.
Try our new potatoes! New potatoes are potatoes which are
harvested while the potato plant is still alive, resulting
in a uniquely ultra fresh flavor.
We offer reds, whites, yukon gold, and
even some that are red or blue all the way through! If
you haven't tried those yet, you are in for a treat.
They have an extremely fine flesh and sweet flavor, and
the bright color is packed with all the goodness and
health benefits that you hear about with blueberries
other brightly colored produce.
We plan to have more of our Butter and
Sugar Sweet Corn beginning in mid July and continuing
throughout the rest of the summer. Keep those fingers
crossed that we get a little more rain than last year!
We'll continue to offer cucumbers, summer
squash, green beans, many colors of bell peppers, kohlrabi,
and a few new-to-our-stand veggies.
We've planted lots of garlic and hope to
have it cured and ready for sale in late July.
Look for our winter squash and pumpkins as
autumn approaches.
